This weekend was the kind of weekend that makes me wish I could stop time. It was one of those perfect weekends that comes around only once in awhile. The 3 of us were finally back under one roof. Saturday morning, The Mayor woke up in the best mood. He was cuddly and sweet and ready to start his day with both momma and dada. We went to Chick-fil-a for breakfast (we had no food in the house since we had been out of town) and then we went to Norcross for the Art Festival. We walked around for awhile, shopped and watched the trains that came through town every 20 minutes. The Mayor was so excited to see the big "choo-choo".
After we shopped, we headed over to the playground. Norcross had installed two fabulous new playgrounds since last year's festival. The Mayor wore himself out by playing on these playgrounds for over an hour. The fresh air and the going up and down the stairs to get to the slides made for one tired boy! I am not sure who had more fun...The Mayor or daddy. Daddy had just as much fun going down the slides as The Mayor did.
The Mayor was so tired he actually fell asleep on the way home and missed lunch. Almost 5 hours later, he woke up. Just in time for halftime of the Georgia game...so we went to a friend's house for a cookout and more outdoor fun. By the time it was 7:30, The Mayor was all too happy to be going "nite-nite".
Today was just as great of a day. Church, lunch with friends and cheering for mommy while she played her tennis match (which she won by the way!) rounded out a perfect weekend. Looking forward to a week of being at home and preparing for next weekend's busy weekend (Bert's Pumpkin Patch and Meega's baby shower!)
