The Mayor celebrated his 3rd Halloween yesterday (of course his first one he was only 5 days old) but still, he is becoming a pro at Halloween. It was a little bit of a fight getting him into his "dog dog" costume, but once it was on and he saw himself in the mirror, he loved having it on. He loved shaking his head and letting the floppy ears hit his face. It was so cute. It started drizzling when we wanted to go trick-or-treating, so we went to PopPop's first to get some candy. After hanging out there for a little while, we came back home and hit our neighborhood. We went to one of our neighbor's house first and she gave The Mayor a lollipop to eat while he trick or treated. He loved it. Of course the lollipop was blue, so by the time we were done, his costume and his face were covered in blue. The Mayor quickly got the hang of knocking on people's doors and saying "trick or treat". He would politely take one piece of candy and then say "thank you". After we hit about 10 houses, he tried to drag us to houses that didn't have their lights on. Trying to tell a 2 year old that no one is home to give out candy is much like explaining Einstein's theory of relativity to him...he ain't gonna get it. We were literally dragging him home while he cried and tried to pull away and go to the neighbor's house. He is going to be highly disappointed the next time we go to someone's house and they don't greet him with candy at the door.
