finally moved in

The day that we have been planning for has finally arrived...The Mayor moved in to his new big boy room! The last bit of touchup paint was done last night, and today after his nap, all the furniture was moved into his new room. It is about 85% complete. We are still missing a few decorative pieces (they are due to arrive in the mail this week), but other than that, The Mayor is in! And he loves it! He loves it so much that he asked to be put into his crib to play while we hung pictures on his wall. He couldn't have been happier tonight during our bedtime routine to be cuddled up in his new train quilt. Hopefully the night will be a smooth one and he doesn't wake up afraid or wondering where he is.

Today was also Valentine's Day. The Mayor enjoyed opening his presents...this year's theme was Disney's Cars. The Mayor received a toy Mater and a book. He was so excited; he toted Mater around all afternoon.

It was a wonderful weekend...filled with lots of playtime in the snow, a huge transition from nursery to big boy room, and a reminder to always cherish the ones you love.
