touch-a-truck

This morning we loaded up and headed to a park in Alpharetta for Touch-a-Truck. Where firetrucks, moving trucks, ambulances, delivery trucks, semi-trucks, police cars, tractors, mini-trains...well you name it kind of truck and it was there, were parked in a section of the park and kids could climb in, on and all around them. It was a blast. And thank goodness it was overcast. We were only there 10 minutes before we were all drenched with sweat because it was so humid...I couldn't imagine what it would have been like had the sun been shining.

Sweet Love Bug slept almost the entire time...and that is no small feat considering it was wall-to-wall people and trucks and do you know what happens when little boys get in the driver's seat of a truck? They honk the horn. And not once...they honk it over and over again and some of them just lay on the horn until one of their parents finally says "enough"! Luckily, The Mayor was more irritated with the horn then impressed with it. Half of the time he had his hands over his ears while waiting in line for the next truck.

Tonight is date night for me and D. Much needed too considering we haven't been out just the two of us since before Love Bug was born. Mamie and PopPop are going to watch both kids tonight. Big deal too considering this will be the first time Love Bug has spent the night out. I am already worried about it, but I am sure they will both have a blast. And if not, we are only 3 miles away.
