Twenty-four hours ago I was anxious, nervous and hesitant. Right now I am Happy, Happy and Happy. We have found a preschool for The Mayor! And his teachers are seriously a God-send to us. They were swarming him with love before we could even step completely through the door of his classroom. I thought we would only be at the school for about 20 minutes to get the tour and meet his teachers but we were there for an hour and a half. His teachers asked us to stay and do a craft with the class, play in centers and then go to the indoor playground.
While The Mayor got acclimated in what will be his new classroom, the teachers and I had an amazing conversation. One of his teachers has a son who was diagnosed with sensory issues when he was 2 (he is now 9) so what a blessing it will be to have one of his teachers with such a volume of experience!
My prayers were answered today. All of my anxiety and fear went completely away and I know The Mayor is where he should be. He is going to be loved. I can now start to see the light at the end of the tunnel. To know our support system has grown just feels amazing. And he is happy; he liked his class and his teachers.
Tomorrow I go back and drop off the registration forms for both The Mayor and Love Bug for next year. Feels good to have found a new preschool home!
